Dental emergency?

In pain right now? Here's what to do.

Tap what's happening for a quick first-aid tip, then call — we keep room in the schedule for emergencies Monday through Saturday and see most patients the same day when it's clinically possible.

Call nowMon–Fri 8 AM–6 PM · Sat 8 AM–3 PM

Call 911 or go to the ER if you have trouble breathing or swallowing, swelling that is spreading toward your eye or neck, or a high fever with facial swelling.

What to do right now

Rinse with warm salt water, gently floss around the tooth, and hold a cold pack on your cheek. Over-the-counter pain relievers can help — never put aspirin directly on the gum.

Price guide

Honest starting prices, published up front.

What common treatments start at in our office. Your exact fee depends on what the exam and X-rays show, and you'll get it in writing before any treatment.

*Starting prices for uninsured patients and qualifying cases — not final quotes; your written fee follows an exam. Monthly amounts assume approved 0% APR financing over 36 months with $0 down; longer terms are available for larger cases through our financing partners (subject to approval; APR may apply). Orthodontics uses our in-house plan: $500 down, then 24 monthly payments. Starting estimates as of October 2026, not offers or contracts. These are minimum fees and may increase after your exam, and related services may cost extra. Your exact fee is set in a written treatment plan, and treatment is at the dentist's professional discretion. Pricing terms

Questions

Answers before you call.

The questions Houston patients ask us most. Still unsure? Call — we're happy to help.
What counts as a dental emergency?
Common dental emergencies include severe toothache, knocked-out or fractured teeth, lost or broken crowns and fillings, swelling or abscesses, uncontrolled bleeding, and trauma to the mouth or jaw. If you're unsure, call us — our team can triage your situation over the phone and tell you whether you need to be seen immediately. Visit our emergency dentistry page for more information.
Are you open on weekends for dental emergencies?
Yes. We offer Saturday appointments (8:00 AM to 3:00 PM) specifically to serve Houston patients with dental emergencies who can't take time off during the week. Weekend hours allow us to handle toothaches, broken teeth, lost crowns, and abscesses without making you wait until Monday. Learn more about our emergency dental care.
Can I get a tooth pulled today in Houston?
Often yes, during business hours. Call (832) 831-9101. We take a digital X-ray on arrival and, when a tooth cannot be saved, can usually extract it the same visit. We are open Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–6:00 PM and Saturday 8:00 AM–3:00 PM, and closed Sunday.
Do you offer same-day dental appointments in Houston?
Yes. We reserve daily slots for same-day and next-day visits, including emergency dental care for cracked teeth, severe pain, swelling, or knocked-out teeth. Call (832) 831-9101 or book online and our coordinator will text you back as soon as we can during business hours (Mon–Fri 8am–6pm, Sat 8am–3pm; closed Sunday).
How much does a dentist visit cost in Houston without insurance?
A new-patient exam, X-rays, and routine cleaning at Texas Dental Center starts at $99 for uninsured patients. Other common services include tooth-colored fillings from $150 for one surface (more surfaces cost more), simple extractions from $300 per tooth, a complete single dental implant from $2,499 (implant + abutment + crown, qualifying cases), and braces or clear aligners from $2,499. The $99 new-patient visit and the $2,499 implant and braces prices are promotions through December 31, 2026; regular fees are $250 for the new-patient visit and from $3,500 for an implant or braces. We provide a written estimate before any treatment begins.
What dental insurance plans do you accept in Houston?
We are in-network with most major PPO plans including Delta Dental, Aetna, Cigna, MetLife, Guardian, United Concordia, BCBS, Humana, and Ameritas. Financing is available through CareCredit and Sunbit, subject to credit approval (some plans offer 0% APR promotional terms). See our insurance and financing options.
How much do dentures cost in Houston?
The fee depends on a full denture, a partial, a repair, a reline, or an implant-retained denture. See our denture cost page for published ranges, and we give a written estimate before treatment. Call (832) 831-9101.
Do you have a dentist who speaks Spanish, Persian (Farsi), Turkish or Portuguese?
Yes. Our front desk speaks English and Spanish. Dr. Amir Mofid and Dr. Azadeh Khorram speak Persian (Farsi), and Dr. Khorram also speaks Turkish. Dr. Rosecler Marmentini, our orthodontist, speaks Portuguese and Spanish. Call (832) 831-9101 and tell us which language you prefer so we can book you with the right dentist. More about our Persian-speaking dentists.
What should I do if my tooth is knocked out?
Hold the tooth by the crown, keep it moist in milk or saliva, and call (832) 831-9101. We see dental trauma Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–6:00 PM and Saturday 8:00 AM–3:00 PM. The office is closed Sunday.
